Chronology of cameras Foster Instruments
The only difference between this camera and the others shown on this site is the small piece of unpainted metal around the shutter speed selector.
There is an advertisement on tthe internet from the Brisbane Courier Mail of 22 December 1950 that reveals that the camera came in nine finishes: black, green, red, blue. mottle green, mottle blue, silver, 'snake' and 'croc'. It also gives the price as "46 shillings and three pence" equivalent to £2/17/10 sterling at the time. (1 Australian Pound = 1.25 Pounds sterling)
The tiny metal strip on the side opposite the trigger is a three position slider which in addition to F11, provides an aperture of about F16, and a yellow filter at F11. The purpose of the filter was to reduce haze in "distance shots". It has no provision for flash.
